FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT
may 6, 2006

Dear players. I’d like to bring to your attention the most important issues pertained to the league play. You know that our next USATT League meeting is just around the corner and hope it’s in your calendar and my updates will be helpful to you.

·        Great news! The DHS America, sponsor of SATTA programs, has donated to the league ball supply and now we are So. AZ DHS Table Tennis League.

·        Thank you all who participated in last league play April 13 and contributed to its successful start. I expect that there will be even more players this Sunday, May 11th.  The league is open to players of all skills and ages.

·        Per agreement with Armory Park Senior Center, we will utilize their center from 9 am (one hour earlier) to 1:30 pm for total of 4.5 hours on 5/11.

·        Tentative schedule will be as follows:

ü 9:00AM – 10:15AM warm-up

ü 10:10AM – 10:20 Registration and seeding

ü 10:20 – Play starts

·        No reservation is required, but be sure to arrive no later than 10:15AM to be placed in a group according to your current league rating or estimated rating.

·        While seeding players into the RR groups, winners of the April 13 league can (if they want) use their credit to be placed in a one-level higher division. This credit is available to Rocky Dotzler (Div. 2 winner), Trung Le (Div. 3 winner), and John Banot (Div. 4 winner).

·        The position of the League Director is open to everybody and if you would like to volunteer your time I will be happy to assist you as long as my assistance will be needed.  No experience is required.

·        Check out our website (“Champions” page) for recent league winners.

·        SATTA Ironman Award” will be presented to player who plays the most USATT tournament and So. AZ DHS League singles matches for the year. Current standings will be updated at around 15th of every month.

My best regards and hope to see many of you this Sunday.
